THE STORY OF MARTIN
Photography has been a part of my life since junior high school. I was first introduced to black and white processing the "old-fashioned" way - in a darkroom with chemicals. When I first saw my image come to life right before my eyes I was hooked. From that day on, I was never without my Dad's 35mm camera and I looked for any opportunity to practice my new found passion - yearbook editing was one venue.
I attended the Rhode Island School of Professional Photography and graduated in 1979. I opened my first studio in 1980. My passion for photography is as strong today as it has ever been and I continue to study with top professional photographers and attend frequent seminars to further my education.
Today, photography means different things to different people. To me it is an art that is elegant, simple and timeless. I have worked and studied hard at his craft over 30 years to provide an image that transcends the test of time. My style captures your close connection with your family and your inner self. Both my black and white and color sessions hold the same standard of quality and craftsmanship. My professional printing experience that began at a young age allows me a unique perspective of color and light that I use as I complete the vision for your portrait with today's technology. I print all of my images to archival standards and complete each piece with a hand signed Certificate of Authenticity. With proper lighting, hand painted backgrounds by professional artists, and skills perfected over time, you can be sure that you are receiving the finest piece of art for your home.
